emotional freedom technique
Tap Tap Tapping
EFT (the Emotional Freedom Technique) is also known as tapping. Tapping is something that I do most days, it has got me through times of trauma, hurt, and pain plus on a day to day level dissolves any niggles of guilt, frustration, cravings or aches and pains. EFT has enhanced my life, once learned there was an immediate realization of: ‘I can do anything’ as I really belief that it’s only our thoughts that limit us, and if we can release those limiting thoughts with EFT, there’s now no excuse for not having the life of choice!
In 1995/1996 I had an amazing year living in Canada, it involved a multitude of cultural differences and ways of living, one of them involved my sleeping habits. Imagine those cold winter mornings (-25), I would be snuggled up under the weight of all of the blankets, laying listening to a woodpecker. Ah blissful you may think; well actually it was far from blissful when at five a.m. the dumb bird used to drill into the metal part of a telegraph pole! I think he could see his reflection?! If only I had known about tapping then to compensate for the woodpeckers raucous taps!
“The choices we make in the present time are influenced by the traumas and joys we have experienced in the past. Choices we make today, of course, create our future. If we can defuse the traumas from the past and reinforce the joys, we’ll be making choices which create the kind of future that we really want to have.” Stokes & Whiteside
EFT can help to dissolve those past traumas, to allow us to live without the ‘coping mechanisms’ that are often adopted. We can be more in the moment, in the joy of now and allow the negative to dissolve with the taps.
EFT is an invaluable tool to have, it can be learned in one single EFT session or I teach evening ‘tapping nights’ and ‘tap your way to freedom’ days as well as the certified practitioner training.
Happy Tapping!
