Grounded In Scotland

It’s summer holidays and my love of Scotland and standing stones merge. For some, holidaying by a tropical beach would be the dream, for me dodging the rain to connect with a 3,500 year old ancient site on the West Coast of Scotland is my idea of bliss! Standing stones remind me of our intrinsic connection to the earth, that for thousands of years mankind has known the power of rocks and the importance of being grounded. I ground myself in some way throughout every day, being out in nature is simply the best way of honouring our earth connection and linking in to the many gifts that being grounded offers us. If you are unable to physically get outside and connect with the land then take a few moments to imagine yourself sitting on a rock in a beautiful place, it’s nearly as good as the real thing. Breathe deeply as you link to the earth and feel the gratitude of this anchoring.

I am so thankful for my opportunity to further explore a land I love and breathe in the magic and beauty of new and familiar places. I am so happy and thankful for time to relax, play and be. Wishing you all a fabulous summer. Di x
