It’s all about Love ….

So here I am, wishing you a love filled February – the month of love – including self-love. Three words come to mind:
Rest, Release and Remember
Have you made time recently to rest? To release? To remember?
Winter encourages us to rest, to slow down, to be.
I love the photograph below, the trees are bare, exposed and vulnerable. They stand in a beautiful place and even in their state of undress add so much to the essence of the landscape that is their home.
I have taken many photographs of trees this winter, and have really marvelled at their magnificence, their trust that they can release completely and wait, rest, sleep until it’s time to remember who they fully are, then blossom, bloom and reach for the light.
Trees recognise the cycles of life, they follow nature’s rhythms and flow. They don’t try to follow anyone else’s rhythm but their own, they don’t try and be anything other than what they are. I wonder if that is where our lesson is?
Have you heard of the Irish band Hudson Taylor? I love their music and the lyrics are often poignant – my favourite song of theirs, ‘World Without You’ has a line that resonates, ‘Don’t you forget who it is who you are’ – so in this new year and decade I encourage you to do just that. Remember who YOU are and choose to be your authentic self, rather than an being an imposter trying to be who others want you to be. Through this remembering you can step into your own love and power, you can embrace your essence and celebrate your very being, you can say ‘Here I am’ to the world – the world is ready!
